Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

Spider Mountain Excavators Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through spiderexcavators.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, or email or phone us, we collect what you choose to share. This usually includes:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Project details, such as location, scope, photos or drawings

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site collects some technical information when you visit, mainly through Google Analytics (see below). This includes:

  • Browser and device type
  • General location (city or region)
  • Pages viewed
  • How you arrived at the Site
  • Time spent on pages

This information does not identify you by name.

We do not have user accounts, logins, online payments, or advertising and remarketing pixels on the Site.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and prepare estimates
  • Plan and carry out work you hire us for
  • Communicate with you about your project
  • Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
  • Keep the Site secure and prevent spam

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for any purpose you haven’t agreed to, except as required by law.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect information about your visit. It reports this to us only as summary statistics, such as total visitors or popular pages. Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses.

Google may process this data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. To learn how Google uses this data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can opt out of Google Analytics in any of these ways:

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. The Site uses:

  • Essential cookies, which the Site needs to work properly and handle form submissions securely
  • Analytics cookies, which Google Analytics sets as described above

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you from browsing the Site or contacting us.

Third-Party Services

The Site uses a few outside services to load content. These services may receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, when your browser connects to them:

  • Google Fonts, for the Site’s typography
  • unpkg.com, a content delivery network that serves some of the Site’s code
  • Google Maps, when you click a map link

The Site links to our social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X/Twitter. If you follow those links, that platform’s privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.

Contact Form Submissions

Messages sent through our contact form are emailed to us and stored securely on our website server. We keep inquiries only as long as we need them to respond, to manage any resulting project, or to meet legal and accounting requirements. After that, we delete them.

Where Your Information Is Stored

The Site is hosted by a third-party provider, and some of the service providers listed above may store or process information outside Canada. When information is stored outside Canada, it is subject to that country’s laws and may be accessible to its authorities. We use reputable providers that protect personal information.

How We Protect Your Information

The Site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to inquiries and project information is limited to our staff. No method of sending or storing data online is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

Your Rights

You may ask to:

  • See the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Withdraw consent or have your information deleted, subject to legal or contractual requirements

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days, as PIPA requires.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
