Dale McKnight · Construction Superintendent & Project Manager

Dale McKnight is a Construction Superintendent and Project Manager with more than 30 years of experience working in remote mountain environments. His work spans vegetation management, steep-slope excavation, tethered Spider Excavator operations, slope stabilization, and environmental restoration. Dale has led challenging projects throughout British Columbia and the Yukon. He brings practical field knowledge, careful logistical planning, and a knack for finding workable solutions when access and terrain make a job difficult. In the off-season, Dale works as a heli-ski guide, continuing to share his knowledge of the mountains.

Isabelle Thibault

Isabelle Thibault brings more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the ski industry to her role at Spider Mountain Excavators. Her background spans strategic planning, construction, safety, marketing, accounting, and human resources. She is passionate about building strong relationships with clients, partners, and employees.
As Office Manager, Isabelle oversees accounting and HR while coordinating the logistics and day-to-day demands of a busy office supporting complex remote projects, each with its own requirements and challenges.

Dan Livingston · Project Manager & Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Dan Livingston is a Project Manager, Spider Excavator operator, and specialized heavy equipment mechanic with extensive experience in steep-slope excavation, precision drilling, geotechnical construction, and remote infrastructure projects.
A love of the mountains and a passion for the backcountry brought Dan back to British Columbia more than 10 years ago after a career in the oil and gas industry. He went on to work in forestry, wildfire response, and geotechnical construction, building a career in BC’s outdoors.
Recognized as one of North America’s leading Spider Excavator mechanics, Dan combines a lifetime of mechanical experience with skilled operation in challenging terrain.
